So you are wondering how the wheels changed...

I obtained....

a set of original jeep wagon wheels that were black. I took them to the powder coater and had them powder coated white.

Then, I had a trim/pinstriping specialist pain the red stripe on the rim.

OK, so I had 4 later model center caps for wagon wheels. And my truck has front lockers. Would I prefer to go d44/ Quadratrac and closed RWB caps? ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!! But, this is what I have.

Wow, that's alot of work you did. Nice work and perseverance. The pictures don't do justice to have much work you've done. Thanks for posting it now at least.

What kind of work did your flares need? They had bondo too you said? The rust bubbles were up high, I was thinking they be rotted down at the bottoms.

You've done a great job, very thorough. You've sold alot of your rigs, I hope you keep this one after all the work you're putting into it.

Most of the work was on the rear flares. On the driver's side, I cut out the front lower section and replaced about 6 inches up to the bottom. On the passnger side. I replaced a section over the middle and on bout outside and inside in the back. I also replaced the lower rearsecion behind the rear wheel.

I wish I had taken more pictures.

I am planning on keeping this one. Although, I have learned something with this build. I really like an original paint or single repaint truck. especially one you can ding/chip and not worry about. Also, I'm not sure how fun it will be when it's done.

Dash

So while I had the dash out, I had it powder coated. I also disassembled the tilt steering column and had those shrouds powdered at the same time. Here's how the dash came out:



I had also been toying with a creme interior. So I bough some spray paint and painted a junk dash I had to see what the two-tone might look like:



You'll also notice the Dash cluster here. I'm using mid-early 70 gauges because I like the font style better. I'll get some close up shots of the cluster later. I've been through the thing and it came out great.

The flash on my camera was really washing out the blue so I took a few without the flash.
