I'm roadtrippin' up to Portland this month!

Wife and I are spending some quality married time in Portland/Boise area 30 June-13 July. I'm driving her Pathfinder up there and she is flying up a day later.

I'm gonna spend Saturday night 29 June in Manteca CA at my brothers house, then hitting the road to Portland Sunday after church. Anyone want to meet from some coffee along the way? I'll buy! I'll be on the 5 pretty much the whole way and camping in the back of our Pathfinder Sunday night the 30th. I can also meet up for some coffee or something Monday morning as I don't have to pick up my bride from PDX until the afternoon. The wife will be annoyed if I do much FSJ'ing after she gets there so those 2 days are probably the best times...

Johnsonic, Wagoneer Taylor, deckside? Anyone else around? PM me and we'll see what we can do!

We'll be driving over to Boise later the second week, so driftwood, I'll hit you up then, too!

Haha! I have another one, too but didn't want to post 2 of them. Looking forward to seeing your headliner, and tailgate! Wooo Hoo! I get to Boise Tuesday night and will be there, mostly working Wed-Fri.

You see, if I was smart, I woulda taken some pictures. But, well, I'm not. The wife and I are going to hit a trail tomorrow up on Mount Hood but it'll be in her Pathfinder. If I get a decent picture, I;ll post it. I will try my best to get some when I meet up driftwood.

I got to meet Marc last night. We met at Bear Island Brewing in Boise. We talked so long and shared so many stories that we finally got kicked out by the owner so she could close shop and go home for the night. Good Times! Solsaks, you missed it. you should have been there!

Yeah, that was awesome!! Had a blast! Next round is on me, though! Hopefully next time we'll have my turd there (with Idaho plates) and can sit and chat more! Good times! We forgot to take a picture though. LOL!

                          speaking of pictures:
Here are some cool rigs I saw driving around (other than the Wedding Wagon, Johnsonic's ride, and Driftwood's ride)

Took my wife's ride on a trail up in the mount hood area. Here is her ride in it's offroad costume (removed running boards and no sway bars)

We went on the Barlow Road Trail and then to the Badger Lake trail. It was pretty awesome. Great views. I would call it "moderate" difficulty. I definitely used 4WD and low range. 2WD would NOT have made it there and back but open axles were fine. One creek crossing was about 18 inches deep. Took us about 90 minutes from pavement to the lake (all dirt) and then another 90 minutes back. Some cool pics from the trail. The lake was AMAZING!!! The pictures I took of the lake won't transfer over to jpg (they are some stupid apple specific HEIC format or something like that) so I can't resize them. There was almost no one at the lake when we got there. As we were sitting there drinking our drinks and eatin our snacks, a deer walked behind us, ate some leaves next to us (about 15 feet away), then gently walked off into the woods. What a great trip. My bride had never done anything like this and we both ate it up. These pics are the really pretty areas, not the challenging ones... Would be way more fun in a FSJ.

While we were out there, this tree mooned us. Probably because we were not in a FSJ.
