327 Engine ID Tag

Trying to figure out what two extra numbers 4 9 mean on an alternator bracket tag from a 65 Dec 9 build 712F09 49 ?????
Thought maybe Bore 4 and ?compression 9 ????

Weird.

Oversize/undersize codes were letter and not numbers so we can rule that out. It's probably insignificant.

It means that you have an extra 49hp because of the performance alternator bracket.

j/k, I have no idea. I'm just subscribing cuz I am curious what folks will say...
