    Howell TBI kit for 360

I think I have the pieces for a Howell TBI conversion tucked away in the garage, do those have any value used? I had a parts car from a junk yard with it installed and I think I took most of the main bits but have no use for it anymore. If anybody has questions let me know what to look for and I can post pictures. Otherwise I may toss it for space.

The new complete kit from them is $1500 so I'm sure what you have there is worth something!

California Smog Legal Version CARB E.O. #D-452-2 Howell EFI announces arrival of new fuel injection conversion kit for classic Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer Marine City, MI – March 10, 2015 -The 1971-’93 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer have a huge following among off road enthusiasts. Howell EFI has recently released a carburetion to throttle…

I'm definitely going to go EFI at some point once I get the funds together and complete the engine bay work.

It's a GM ECU and Rochester TBI throttle body and injectors. Look on eBay to see what they are selling for. The small bits have some value too, including the wiring, TB adapter and fuel pump. Easy to find prices for this stuff.

Post it up if you just want to get rid of it. I'd give you something for the pieces, if it's not trashed.

        I love my carbs

        but if I went FI

that is what I would want

        no computer screen.

with hidden brain box to control TBI.

        am I correct

that when you get this set up

it is basically set for a number of years with no fiddling with settings etc...?

like the 87 Silverado my friend has, bought new, approx 275,000 miles
and it is just starting to idle/run ruff after all those years....

        thats what I like...problem free.

I'm just the opposite, Dave, I like the PC or tablet screen to make setup and maintenance easier.

What I'd really like is the Edelbrock 35650 kit and a set of their heads if money was no object. 8-point EFI set-up, much lighter aluminum bits, better dizzy, etc, what's not to love about that?

Best part of EFI is not having to smell gas fumes permeating and soaking into everything if/when I pull it in the garage to do some tinkering, especially with that nice leather interior going in.

10-4 on liking the tech based stuff to tinker with settings,...

I admire the guys who do that,...

but not my cup of tea....

( I still run 25+ year old computers/software in my sign shop )

and I LOVE the gas smell in the garage !!!

I have been told several times,...."you are crazy"

but I don't blame you for not wanting to stink up that new interior.

            that stitching is right on.

while waiting to go EFI, if necessary,... I have had great luck with edelbrock performer carbs.
just put one on a 69 Dodge Charger. bolted on, and in 15 minutes of fiddling
            was on the road...screaming.

They do sell used. Depending on what you have a few hundred bucks at least. Definitely worth more than just tossing it.

I see a good throttle body go for $50-$100. if it is a 454 throttle body, they go for more. The computers are usually about $50. Speed sensor is $100+, harness is usually $100+. TBI adapters $40-$100, etc.
