D44 Front Bearing and Seal Kits

Anyone have a link to a combo package? I just needs the seals and bearings, for a front rebuild. Maybe some shims too..wouldn't hurt.

I saw Bj's carries a kit for the rear, but didn't see anything for de front.

    Part Numbers Are Listed Below:

Following part Numbers can be had in Premium brand name or can be had where the quality of the box exceeds the bearing inside it Personally I would not waste my $$$$ on the cheap bearings.

    Small-Bearing Spindle-Inner-Bearing Journal Size: 1.78"
Stub Axle Spindle Bearing Kit Part# BRGBK1 $15.99
Hub Lock Nut Kit Part# BK6301653 $15.99 Needed only if your old ones are bad
    Inner Wheel Bearing & Race set Part# BRGBR37 $18.99
    Outer Wheel Bearing & Race set Part# BRGBR35 $16.69
    Seal Part# NOS24898 $ 4.99

    Big-Bearing Spindle-Inner-Bearing Journal Size: 2.00"
Stub Axle Spindle Bearing Kit Part# BRGBK1 $15.99
Hub Lock Nut Kit Part# BK6301653 $15.99 Needed only if old ones are bad
    Inner Wheel Bearing Part# BRG LM104949 $15.99
    Inner Wheel Bearing Race Part# BRG JLM104910 $ 9.49
    Outer Wheel Bearing & Race set Part# BRGBR35 $16.69
    Seal Part# NOS24898 $ 4.99

As you can see the only differance in the small and big bearing spindle is the inner bearing all the other parts are the same
    Thanks Ryan,

I got seals & bearings from Randys R&P when I did mine in 02. The bearings were Yukon and I forget the manufacturer for the seals. About $85 an axel. The seals for the front axel tubes were too small though so I took one of the old ones to Parts Plus to get the right ones. Not sure what to recommend. I would be tempted to buy them all local next time, starting at NAPA. Unless I lived in Montrose, that NAPA guy would never see me walk through his door.

Gamber, keep us posted as to what you are able to find. I'm looking at the same thing myself as Tequilla's front diff has blown bearings.

If you mean the front wheel bearings & seals, they are listed under disc brakes on BJs:

Autozone carries the front wheel bearings and seals

I bought Timken front outer wheel bearings over the counter. $12 for the pair.

All 74 (with disk brakes) thru 91 FSJs would be considered big bearing. As I have read, since Chevy D44s and Jeep D44s have so much in common and use a lot of the same interchangable parts, the need to specify big or small bearing really only applies to Chevy D44s.

excellent! I suppose it wouldn't hurt to check at the store the parts OD vs a measured ID of your tube, since they seem to vary, eh?
