Rear wind deflector, how to install?

Got all the hardware, but need the rubber roof seal inserts. Is there a backing nut underneath?

    Thanks!

Same well nuts as the roof rack uses.
Available @ hardware stores, I found some @ ACE hardware.

Drill a couple holes if needed, pop in the well nut, blah blah...

Well nuts are available in the specialty fastener section at Lowes. I put my deflector on about a year ago, only bad part was drilling those 1/2" holes in a perfectly good roof.

            well nuts=ewwww

pull down the headliner and use the stock bolts with a washer and nut on the back (take one to the hardware store to find the right size. Installed this way, it will never ever come loose. Did the same thing for my roofrack..100x sturdier than using well nuts. little dab of silicone will seal them up from water.

it's hard to get a bolt and washer under the x-members, but it is doable..little magnetic rod to hold them in place helps.

Has there been a problem with rear deflectors and roof racks coming loose?

From what I've heard, only when you hit a deer and it ends up on it.

If you put anything heavier than lawn chairs on the roof, yes. Anyways, well nuts come loose after a time, shrink and dry up. I prefer my stuff bolted to the jeep, not held on by rubber.
