1986 Grand Wagoneer Runs Hot

Hi All,
I recently fixed my gauge (it had a wobbly post that I soldered). It works, I guess, and reads less than 220

With a stock tstat mine both run ~210 and have for many years/thousands of miles.
I would consider this normal operating temp with good cooling system.
Very gauge accuracy but I wouldn't be worried.

Thank you, Sir. I appreciate the response.
I don't see or hear any signs that something is going wrong, so I will not worry about that. I haven't had any other car/truck that got that hot before.

stock t-stat on these 195 so they'll run a little higher than that with that opening temp.
lots of cars run around these temps.
For example my LT1 equipped Caprice the primary fan doesn't even kick on until 225*F secondary @230*F.

They run them this hot to ensure condensation burns off/out of oil.
