J Truck Body Side Trim

How hard is it to install the chrome body side trim on a J Truck that did not originally have it? I am in the process of buying a parts truck and it has the Chrome body side trim on it and I would like to reinstall it on my main rig.

I won't be much help, but I'm thinking about the same thing so I can paint from there down and hide the paint line.

How I'd go about it since you have a whole parts truck is to carefully remove it, maybe just one side at first. Meausure all the hole locations and diamater, get some touch up paint to cover the bare holes after you drill them, let the paint dry put the clips in and hopefully it will all go on.

If you attempt it post it here, with pics if possable. I may try to install my trim before I start the patching so I can get the holes painted in.

I will. I am getting a great deal imo on a fairly complete early 70s J4000.
