Do you have a specific use planned for the inverter? What's it rated at?

I will be mounting this in the tool box and putting a few outlets in the cab and someplace in the toolbox it is rated for a constant 1200 watts but can peak at 30000 if the unit is plugged into 120v it will put out 12v 50amps back to the batteries to charge them I have had a small inverterfor years that I use all the time in my dd so I could not pass this up

Nice. Surprisingly I hadn't given any thought to installing an inverter. Yours has got me thinking about it, which is good because I could run its wiring while I'm doing the rest of the truck. Thanks for the idea.

No problem, I love the fact that anything I have can be run from my truck if neccesary. The nice thing about this inverter will be the batttery charger, not only for myself, but for anyone that has a dead battery within reach of a power cord.....

I got the 60 lb springs in, picked up a new oil pan,

and got another Jeep I search craigslist everyday for Jeep parts and I came across the perfect donor rig for my CJ. As much as I dont need another project right now it was to good of a deal to pass up. Now I am on the fast track to get Alice done so I can put the CJ together. That and the cold has been setting in the past few weeks....

Thanks, you know you didn't have to share that. Jeez, now I have something else to make.

Seriously, that is DIY at its finest. It has definitely been added to the list of to-do's.

Also, nice Jeep purchase. Someday I'd like to get a little brother for my truck. Something that would be just for play.

PS- Nice valve spring tool, also.

Ha sorry Resbum, I wish I had found it sooner, then youcould have incorporated it before you installed the exhaust on yours. It allcame from my homemade valve spring compressor, a friend of mine was ragging on me fornot buying the $40 tool and jokingly said ?I bet your going to make an exhaustbrake yourself too? the rest is history?and yes, my CJ is for play, truck is for work, that way I never have to worryabout something being able to pull me out?

I got the valve covers all set, installed the starter, new lift pump, oil pan, rear Ubolts and a lot of painting. Now I need the cab back....

                            Next on the list:

Brake lines, exhaust, shocks, air bags, fuel tank from donor truck, electrical test station. I know that is only the tip of the iceberg but its a start...

One step forward, two stumbles back I started to prep the intercooler today and under the paint there was about an 1/8 of aluminum dust and under the dust there are lots of pin holes everywhere. So I am now on the hunt for an intercooler that doesnt cost $1000.....
