Has anyone installed the Crown QT Chain?

So I know there is a chain replacement in the "Tech Library" and there have been countless talks of chains for the QuadraTracs on here, but I was just curious if anyone had installed specifically one of the Crown Automotive chains. I am doing a tcase rebuild in a week and need to get this stuff ordered, but I don't want to get a weak chain.

    Thanks!

Crown products are mostly made in China. Chinese chains have been discussed a few times here and the consensus is that they just don't last. My opinion is to pony up the money and do the job right the first time with a USA made chain.

I knew the discussion regarding Chinese chains vs American. I guess the better question would have been "areally crowns chains Chinese?" Thanks for the quick answer. I see you've pointed toward BJs, just curious- are those really the only American chains out there? I see all the crown and Morris adverts all the time but I was at least hoping to feel like I had options. I appreciate the guidance.

I believe the chain BJ's sells is a Morris chain which are USA made. But you would have to contact them to be 100% sure.

Morse? That's the old Borg-Warner supplier. I don't think those are around any more - they've stopped production, and all the NOS is gone.

The new supplier of USA chains is Ramsey, IIRC.

Ya know, I typed Morse but my phone auto in-corrected it to Morris. Ah, technology
And you are correct. It is Ramsey who makes the USA made chains now, not Morse.

Oh, yeah, when I said Morris, I mean the 4x4 shop (like a lesser BJ's) that also has Chinese chains. I was trying to think who took over the Morse stuff. Thanks guys, I'm sure this has been discussed but I'm still new at this so researching the forums isn't always successful... yet...

You are correct that we have the only usa-made chain for the quadra-trac which we had made specifically for us. The other chains on the market are made in China. The usa-made chains that we carry are made exactly like the original Morse chains and have been tested many times and are much much better quality.

My QT was rebuilt 3 months ago with the USA made from BJ's. Short lived, but seems good.
