Co-Host Of NPR's 'Car Talk', Tom Magliozzi, Dies At 77

Tom Magliozzi bantered weekly with his brother, Ray, on the public radio show. They joked, laughed and sometimes even gave good advice to listeners with car troubles. Tom Magliozzi was 77 years old.

High quality junk here: intro thread and slow build thread

Did you know? Willys is just Willis spelled differently, but pronounced the same. Neither Willy nor his apostrophe are involved.

Those two knuckleheads brought me to laughing with and at them many times when our semi-local NPR station could still be found on the FM dial. They were a bit anti-SUV and certainly anti American Jeep in some of their political leanings and some of our email correspondence, but funny guys. I wonder if the show will continue?

        Tommy will be missed.

Prolly. They both retired from making new shows a couple years ago and NPR has since been airing reruns. Suspect that'll continue till the contract runs out.
