    Turn Signal Gaskets

Figured this would be the group to ask. I am looking for new gaskets for my front and rear turn signal housings. Any ideas where to look???

If you mean the grey 'foam' between the lens and the plastic chrome, I couldn't find any for the rear. When I bought new signal housing/lens for the front, it came with it. I haven't gotten to the rear yet, but plan on going to a hobby store and getting some sheets of that craft foam, and cutting a couple out. I've never seen sheets of foam gasket material, only cork and rubber.

I was going to do the same thing for mine. What comes with the new housings isn't water tight. I am looking on Amazon for material.

I posted some pix of what I got a few weeks ago in the tech section.

There was a discussion a month or so ago about the gray gaskets that are part of various light assemblies - like the front turn signals and the tail lights. I went to the local craft store and picked up this sheet for $.50. (http://s1353.photobucket.com/user/86aggie/media/foam%203_zpshg4i7qzg.jpeg.html) (http://s1353

Going thru the TSM recently, I noticed that on the tail lights there are actually two gaskets. One between the chrome trim and body, and a second between the chrome and the lens. I'm sure the charter Prissers knew that, but thought I'd mention it for the rest of us.

yup - I made my own, too. Some craft foam sheets the wife had in her "workshop!"
