    Ignition cylinder replacement

Started replacement of the ignition cylinder. Only one Key and it is so worn the lock smith couldn't make a copy from it. Starting to worry about it breaking or loosing it.
Tightened everything up. Still putting back together.

I replaced the broken tailgate hinge-pin. Had to remove both halves and drill out the two shorter ones, the long piece came out with a lot of heat and an air-chisle. Just a drop of oil once or twice a year would have prevented me using up 3 precious hours of my remaining life. If I had to do it again, I'd just buy a replacement hinge and be done with it.

It wasn't this weekend, it was last. I loaded her down, hooked up a 5x8 U-Haul and over loaded that, then pointed her south. 800+/- miles later I was in Tampa. Not a burp or hiccup the whole trip. Used 1 quart of oil and averaged 13mpg.

I just found out, after 2 years, that the rear seat is on a quick release hinge. I always knew to could fold it forward but not forward, up, and out. Now I can open it up and clear out the annoying spare change that's rattling around.

Changed out the tailgate window lift bar. Already had the e-clips installed, so that made things easier.

Also put a set of retread summer tires on.

Pulled cluster to fix gages and do ammeter bypass, installed a wiring harness for my new front fog lights, ran new vacuum lines to my glovebox vacuum 4wd loxck switch and to my defrost actuator. Going to install new led fog lights this afternoon after work.

Wired up the new intermittent windshield wiper box to the new wiper motor, the original washer motor and tested it all with a power unit. They work!

                            Purring

Current project finished today and the '89 Wag, nicknamed The Beast is purring like a kitten. Full MSD ignition. 6AL Digital Ignition, Distributor, Blaster Coil, Plug Wires, Champion Plugs, PowerMaster 150/80 alternator, small power distribution block ( to get all those wires off of the starter switch ), Bosch Starter (new), inline 150A AGM fuse for the alternator, new battery cables, and an additional braided wire ground. All timed up and accelerator pump adjusted. All old wiring gone. All new connections soldered and shrink wrapped. Love the way it runs. Rev limiter set @4500 rpm's. Love the way she starts and runs now. Next major tasks, aluminum radiator w/electric fans, timing cover and oil distribution upgrade, aluminum water pump, replace all the wipes, slide rails, seals, and moisture barrier in the doors. Someday.......lol........Someday.

Installed a 3 i ch rough country lift , new rear brake lines and flex hose, cleaned carb out, mounted and balanced up a set of 31 1050 15s on my jeep alloys. Started polishing out my wheels since they got such nice new tires and got three of them done. Then drove from my property to my grandfathers house next door and the starter went out. Pulled starter and went and picked up a new one to install tomorrow. Lots of fixin going on but not much fun with the jeep.

Just replaced everything on the front. Shoes, Drums, Cylinders, Hardware and lines. Brakes still suck. How do you test the brake booster?
