Interchangeable door panels

Hey guys. Looking for confirmation if I can put 90 LF panel in my 85. I know 90 does not have top handle and speaker cover is different. But it will work right?
Check out this interior. Mystic rob - is this what you told me about? I would buy the whole thing if I lived closer.

Hey, Kerry!
Yeah, that vehicle was actually purchased in-whole and trailered off the salvage yard according to the guy I spoke to at the lot. Damn thing is in better shape than my own non-running beast!
And yes, the newer 87-91 panels will fit fine, just not period correct.

Do you recall if yours had holes for the top handle?. I believe that is all I will have to do to make them work. Carport.com seem to only have later years.

The only door panel holes in the later years' panels are for the bendable tabs on the post-87 woodgrain trim strips.
If you used later model panels and retrofitted your 85 pieces it would likely look odd because the foam would be smashed down or non-existent under that handle area.
I suppose you could use the newer 'door card' and move your upholstery skin over to it, to then make the necessary holes, etc.

I bought the Men_in_Black ABS door cards and had my stock vinyls wrapped around them. If your vinyls are in decent shape, that can be re-used on new cards. If you order from MIB, you can have all sorts of stuff done. I.e. with speaker holes, no speaker holes, with window crank hole, no window crank hole, etc. I ordered "no speaker hole but all other factory holes" and this is how it came out. I will put speakers in my door later.

SOMEBODY JUNKED THAT?!?!?! WTH!!! The interior is nicer than my 2011 Pathfinder!!! It clearly has a lift and hardly any rust!!!
