I have not seen a ad in over a year.

I don't mind paying for a service if it is good service. I got tired of the ads and forked over $ for PB. I must be in the minority because I have good service from it. Not great mind you but then my isp isn't the greatest around. I suspect some of the complaints leveled at PB can be traced to a slow narrow band width provider.

I have the same opinion. I dunno if it's my IP or my old netbook running XP.

It's not the matter of the ads for me. I don't mind ads. It's when there are SO many ads that it freezes up my browser and takes me an hour to update my build thread that I have an issue. The ads shouldn't interfere with how the website functions. It's really gotten to the point where the service is nearly unusable for me.

Use google chrome and install adblock. Just do a google search for adblock and you can go to the chrome store and install it onto chrome for free. It will ask for a donation, but you are not required to give one. I went ahead and donated because I like it so much.
Pages load so much faster now that there are no more ads on them.

I have adblock and photobucket knows it, they get real stingy about letting me do anything and adblock is blocking like, 100 ads so it still slows down my computer. Testing out flickr and any other alternatives to see what is the easiest to use for forum purposes. I just want to upload and direct link, none of the other BS. Of course, if we could get the forum updated and out of the last millennia we would all be able to just upload directly to the thread/forum...

I just upload to PB. I do all of the photo editing on my computer. I don't have any trouble that way.
