    No power PERIOD....

Hey guys, any help would be appreciated...
I drove my FSJ all day Saturday and everything worked great. Got home to get something out of the back so I rolled my back glass down using the switch on the dash and all worked fine. Got items out of back and proceeded to roll glass back up with dash switch and nothing happened. Went to tailgate switch and nothing until I bumped the tailgate with my fist while turning switch and the glass rolled up. So I thought everything was fine until Sunday morning.... jumped in stuck key in ignition switch and nothing works, no power no nothing!!

Sounds like you had/have a loose connection
if hitting the tailgate made the window roll down,
could have been an open circuit draining the battery.

If the tailgate window switch broke/breaks, they can get stuck in an off center position and drain the battery.

If you have a multimeter (should), you can begin to diagnose the issue.

Thanks for the reply, I do have one, can you explain how to test it?

Check voltage @ battery first and see if it's actually dead/drained.
If yes, charge it up and proceed. If no, check fusible links.
You can check for a draw, google parasitic battery drain testing.

If you do have a drain (from tailgate switch or wiring), while dvm hooked up, unplugging tailgate wiring @ lr frame rail will show on dvm as going away.

happened to me on my '88. switch was broken, replaced it with spare from power seat control. a rear door window switch is also a replacement.
or you can buy several different switches and modify to replace.

I can't remember where the safety switch is in the circuit; on the power or the ground side of things but jumper that sucker out. you'll be glad you did while you are working on getting inside the tailgate to mess with that medieval finger chopper contraption they call a tailgate window regulator assembly LOL!

Also, there's often chaffing where the wiring runs out of the bottom of the tailgate and goes into the cab.
