88-91 Parts Swap

Morning Everyone,

I just picked up a 1991 grand wagoneer. it is in pretty good condition, and im going to sue it as my daily driver. just needs a few parts to finish it off.

I own an 88 that has been sitting for a couple years. I was going to have the mechanic take some parts off, like the front drive shaft and fuel tank straps.

I am a big fan of these Jeeps but not very knowledgeable at mechanics.

My question is are the parts pretty much interchangeable? Im assuming i should just be able to take whatever i want off my 88 and put them on the 1991. The body on the 88 is shot, but the interior is great, and i put brand new front end parts on two years ago. All things I would mind switching over.

Let me know what you think please. After I take what i need I may part out the 88.

there is "A-LOT" of parts that will interchange.

the list of what will not interchange is very small,

and other than a rear wiper, i cant think of anything that will not interchange.

except maybe the window regulator design may be different on last couple

years of production.
