I'm installing a Durango rear wiper motor in a 88 Grand Wagoneer, vehicle is not mine, old wiper motor was jury rigged and in pieces,Mitchell 1 doesn't have a wiring diagram for the rear wiper but fiquired how switch works (electrically), I think when the switch is up that would constant wipe and when switch is down that would be one sweep of the wiper arm, anybody with this vintage waggie know if this is correct?

oljeep.com has wiring diagrams.
AFAIK rear wiper is only '89-up, someone could have added one, but an '88 didn't come with one stock.
Probably why you could find wiring diagram for an '88?
On my '89 & '90 the switch up = wiper on.
Switch down(spring loaded) = window squirter and 1 wipe.Tony

Repair Order said it was an 88 and didn't check! the waggie is an 89 and what do ya know there is the wiring diagram, looks like the Durango motor is wired the same and window clears motor, just need to make an 3/8" spacer to compensate for the longer shaft outside the tailgate, will post pictures when it doneSonoraed, fuel injected,SOA 79 J10,Dana 20 twin stick,700R4,89 GW dashboard,
