Thanks for posting this. I just got my door panels from them but didn't think to look for the headliner panels. Mine are pretty saggy also. I'll checkem out.

Holy Crap! $490 for just the panels? I would hope they'd be upholstered for that much cash. I'll continue to live with my warped board in the very back...

Are these cardboard or cloth? I repaired my J20 headliner by gluing the broken pieces to foam board on the backside. Used 3M 77 cement: https://www.amazon.com/3M-Multipurpose-Permanent-Adhesive-Cardboard/dp/B0000AZ735/ref=sr_1_5

I'm sure the BJ headliner is a well built product. Nevertheless its spendy.
Ive been trying to figure out a descent DIY. From what I've seen nothing jumps out
but I'm sure someone has done some nice work.

Funny when I first got my FSJ my headliner/board was in ok shape. I tossed it figuring I could probably get one for cheap. Wrong...

Maybe 30"x24" foam board? Go to the craft store and ask for it. Expect they have it at Staples and Office Depot too. It's used a lot for poster board and making models and such. Two pieces of glossy paper with expanded foam between, a little less than 1/4" thick. Light, rigid, inexpensive.

Look here - https://www.amazon.com/s?k=foam+board - price online is ridiculous but this is what I used.

Here's a link to one that ghcoe made himself out of some coroplast sheets and such. It looks good and didn't seem too complicated.

I don't see the link. I'm all for DIY the headliner. $500 goes along way replacing other bits on my jeep.

I can tell you it was a lot more than 10 bucks in materials. All the different things I have started to make for the restoration I am now done with have climbed in material costs alone. Not to mention time to build, tools to do it well, etc. The ribbed aluminum tailgate panels I make have over doubled in costs. To the point that I am afraid the prices I would have to charge will result in a lot of responses exactly as yours shag. I totally get it. It is the tariff's that are being imposed. They hurt us not some other country. The very best thing anyone can do is figure out how to make things like that headiner and do it for cheaper. And have the pride that you made it and did not pay that asking price for it. I get the reponse. But it was a lot more than 10 bucks in materials not including fabrication time.
I would have a pretty hard time sewing up a wagoneer early vinyl headliner and selling it that cheap. I don't know what BJ's mark up is, but the costs to make this stuff is soon going to pass up what people will pay for it. If it hasn't already. No Porsche's here...
Get creative. Figure out how to make these things....Then share how you did it. I did.

When I get caught up some here, I will put J truck headliner boards on my list to look at for making. I have two J trucks here and I seriously doubt they would ever be that much. I hope BJ's has free shipping... LOL

I know a guy that installed the BJs kit in his WT Cherokee and it did not fit well. As far as I know he is in contact with BJs to discuss options. The 2 door Cherokee headliners are not the same size as Wagos and 4 door Cherokees. The BJs kit is a board with headliner material on it. It may be expensive but you are not going to find a shop to do it for that price or better.
