Looking for Kaiser era tailgate motor

I'm looking for a tailgate window motor from a Kaiser era Wagoneer, the type with four wires (black, blue, green and red/white). It doesn't need to be from a working unit, it just needs to be complete. I don't need the regulator, just the motor. Why would I want that and not just upgrade to a newer unit along with the Serehill upgrade? Because I like doing things the hard way .

Actually I have a friend who repairs trolling motors and is sure he can fix mine. He just needs the field and the bakelite piece that the wires attach to.

Would you/he be willing to post up a how-to if you get what you need and he is able to fix it? I don't have what you are looking for but it sure would be an awesome thread!

I sure will. It has a set of points in it and is a clumsy, awkward setup. Still looking.

I had mine rebuilt at Pacific Supply. Did you get yours finished off.

Yes I did and it runs well on the bench test. I'll get my Wagoneer back next week and will install the motor then. I'm planning on doing a write-up then. I'd like to find another to take to my friend to see what he can do.

These are the same tailgate motors used in the International Traveall, from 1962 to 1969. Kaiser did not get this part from GM, like so many other parts. That may help your search horizons. (even though I cannot seem to track down an extra motor)

Are you installing in a Super or Custom Wagoneer , just curious ? /

I have found most electrical parts in mine (in 79) seem to be Ford sourced.
