Couple electrical questions

Hi,
So I'm in the middle of a light restoration on my wag and im puzzled by a few things:

I have no power to my seats. Where does that power come from? Fuse panel?

No power to my fog lights...

What does the "ACC" fuse power?

When I turn on my wipers, I just get a soft click. I bypassed the timer and that didnt help.

Any direction?

For the elec seats look underneath at the elec connector laying on the floor. Prolly seriously corroded. Common especially in the winter road salt states. After you clean/replace it, hang if from the underside of seat to keep it off the floor.

Hi Joe,
I replaced the carpet this week and I checked over the connectors. They were clean. Seats have never worked for me but while I was diagnosing, I noticed no power to the connector from the harness.

Maybe not what you want to hear, but it's usually very difficult to diagnose electrical problems without the vehicle in front of you. The wiring diagrams are here: https://oljeep.com/gw/elec/GW_wiring.html Use your multimeter and trace out the problem. If you need to, print or photocopy the diagrams and follow the circuits with colored pencils.

ACC is usually an abbreviation for accessory.

The TSM will have a section that describes the wiper motor and its wiring. This is where I would start for the wiper motor.

You're right, not the answer I wanted to hear
I can figure it all out but, I like to first take avenues successfully employed by others. And these vehicles tend to have idiosynchratic glitches...

I was just wondering if the accessory fuse was used to power something on a grand wag - like the fog lights.

Seats should have battery power @ all times.
pull breaker and check it & for power.
there is a connector under dash behind brake pedal for seats maybe it's unplugged/damaged/?

for wipers it could be column switch too.

Yes-Go to the electrical diagrams and click on the power distribution for your 87. It tells you what is powered by each fuse. The ground distribution tells you what circuits share the same grounding locations. All are very useful when you're trying to figure out a "no power" situation.

Yes, and if memory serves me correct they only work when low beams are on.
Meaning you need to have the headlight switch on or they do not get power/work.

Hmm-Not sure. My switch is on the left of the wheel. I think the Fog lights won't come on if the floor switch is on HI beams. Mined are wired on their own relay now directly to the switch. Not sure on stock units.

Well the power seat issue I believe was a bad ground. When I replaced the floors, I didnt connect the ground. Now I have power to the seats and after a thorough switch rebuild, the seats are working well.
Still dont have power to the fog lights?
And the wipers aren't working...
