Still Looking for AMC Chip Guards

Looking for a set of AMC plastic chip guards at a reasonable price. These were available in the 1970's and 80's and bolted onto the bottom of the wide trac fender flares. Let me know if you have any!

What do these look like? Paintable? If Gadzooks doesn't take them I may.

      Sorry for the hijack.

3m Protection film is a better solution than the Jeep ABS guards, unless you are going for a full points resto. The Jeep chip guards trapped dirt/salt between them and the fender promoting rust.

I remember the stickers there. they last for a while...but ultimately are a pain to remove once they start getting perforated and allow the elements to penetrate. Plastic bolt on parts are a bigger joke, you not only just drilled holes in the "insta-rust" body steel, but now you will trap grit and moisture promoting more rust.

Use some Rhino-liner or pool epoxy.

I live in California, Salt and rust not so much of an issue. I like to be able to take them off and repaint them from time to time.

With Rhino liner, you just reapply when needed, same with pool epoxy. Though pool epoxy doesn't resist rock chips as well as rhino liner does.

Any auto graphics place can cut them out and install them also.

Another option is make your own out of vinyl/rubber? floor runner material from a carpet/flooring store. Stuff's easy to work with, 1/16" or so? I cut a set and stuck'em on with emblem adhesive. Had some NOS hard plastic chip guards but never used them and sold them.
