    2 voltmeters show low

89 Wag, and the dash volt meter consistently shows low (~10 when not running, ~12.5 when running). A multimeter shows 14.25 at idle between the battery terminals, and 14.0 at the B sensor wire going in to the cluster.

I bought a used gauge cluster, thinking my gauge was bad, and the new one shows only slightly higher than above. Even when using a power probe with 12.7 volts going to the connections on the back of both gauges, both still show about 10 volts. Did I get unlucky and buy another cluster with a bad volt meter?

    Thoughts?

I have ran into high resistance at the plugs on the firewall causing gauges to read low. Might be worth a look before condemning the gauge.
