Trans removal caused high idle

Well happy Memorial Day weekend everybody ! I will be wrenching on the J10 - trying to get it running again. So here's the deal. Trans ( TH400 ) removed and reinstalled. Everything good. As soon as I start it the engine goes into high rev - higher than just choke mode. Like kick down mode. I figure its got to be something related to the trans removal. All vacuum hoses appear to be connected. There is an sensor of some sort on the drivers side which was disconnected but when I reconnected it still no difference. Any thoughts ?

Check the vacuum line to the vacuum modulator on the transmission. It's either got a hole in it, or the modulator itself is bad.

Be sure to keep an eye on the trans fluid as well.

X2. A vacuum leak there (or anyway) will cause a high idle.

You also have vacuum lines running to the Quadratrac transfer case. Could have knocked them loose, or broken a hard line, etc.

We had just swapped the QT for a Dana 20.
Paul, I might have forgotten to plug them off. I'll be over in a few and we'll get it right.

Who's that knocking on my door ? No problem Jeff - I know it's something simple. Just can't wait to see how it drives w/ the Dana 20 and an offset drive shaft.
