fender question

So I'm doing a buildup of a 74 J10 and I don't want to hack up the widetrack fenders. Would a narrow track fender (a) bolt up? and (b) give the same tire clearance when hacked up and bushwacker XJ flares installed? Thanks in advance

In my experiences with bushwackers they like to explode on contact when wheeling into about 6543765436512 tiny pieces

jaber- I know how much of a PITA it is to try to fin good widetrack fenders and the goal isn't to do Pirate style hardcore crawlin, but at the same time I want the clearance to run 37's without being a mile in the air. Sooo..Hack the cheap, easy to find narrowtracks and hang on to the widetracks to put back on if it ever gets retired to mall crawler status.
