...you and so many others are brainwashed... It's not cheap. It's not that bad, but not cheap. My dad remembers a time (when he started driving) where it was less than 1.00 a gallon.
How much do you buy at a time too? Being a groundskeeper, I learned early that the really does add up. $2 a gallon could easily become a $200 bill.
How the hell is gas around you 2.07! I'd think it'd be higher, being that close to Chicago! Hell, in Freeport gas is-at least .10 higher and Rockford is closer to .20+
1990 Jeep Grand Wagoneer-"Big Jeep"
AMC 360, TF727, NP229, 2.72 gears, 2" lift
Rancho 44044 springs, Rusty's 2" AAL, TFI w/ MSD C/R
...in pieces for more rust repair...
my rule of thumb is, If its the same price as when I started driving its cheap if its under that its free
Woodmans has a cash only gas station but they have the best dam prices in town

Food for thought...
Gas averages around $2.50 a gallon here in the US today. Adjusted to 1967 dollars that comes to about $0.34 a gallon. Gas averaged $0.33 per gallon in 1967. So the real price of a tank of gas is really the same now as it was 50 years ago!

Nobody's brainwashed. It would help to consider inflation.
My dad remembers gasoline costing less than a dollar, too. In 1965, when he started driving, gas may have cost less than 33 cents a gallon, but he was earning $1.00 an hour to pump it. At that time, disc brakes were just coming to mainstream passenger cars, a calculator cost more than a thousand dollars, and it wasn't safe for black people to drive through certain parts of this country.
Times change!

Did you know?Willys is just Willis spelled differently, but pronounced the same. Neither Willy nor his apostrophe are involved.
