Finally got the build thread started.
    Find it here
The goal is to finish the rebuild before Ouray on the 19th. Cross your fingers! The engine was ticking louder than the exhaust on the freeway, and there was black metallic gunk in the transmission pan the last five times we changed the filter. Dustin didn't want to attempt the distance and altitude challenge that ouray offers

Still looking at heading down... so far. Driving Meg alone, so I have an empty seat if anybody between Washington and Colorado wants a ride!

There's always the possibility of something getting in the way but I've missed Ouray too many times!

Well, so far it looks like I'll be there this year. Fingers crossed. I'll be in the XJ but at least I'll be there.

Thinking of driving across the north side of the state and coming down the west side. Gotta do some sight seeing along the way. Last year during my aborted drive around the state, I went up a long drive through a canyon from Ft. Collins to Walden and want to do that one again. Then from Walden to Craig and then turn south.

I'll be arriving in Ouray monday afternoon. Staying in town, leaving saturday morning.

I ain't giving up. I've worked hard, it took me years to work my way to the bottom.

We are planning to arrive Sunday evening, sleep in Monday morning, finish getting camp situated, do a light trail and swim the dog somewhere, have a late anniversary dinner at the Outlaw, drink around the campfire, sleep in on Tuesday, do another light trail and be around in the afternoon and evening to greet everyone rolling in. I am so ready for vacation.... we have a tradition of starting every road trip with Waylon Jennings on the stereo. The tradition started in our Wag! Any trip since that we forgot to do that has ended up with problems.

Good point! It will be nice to see them again. Rachel and Matt, not splinters in her arse. I think it would be hilarious for everyone to call her "Splinters" the entire week. I'm gonna do it.
