my transmission needs to come out of my 84 j10. I just picked up
a nice rebuilt unit from E34felix89 (thanks!) and now the "fun" begins.
this will be my first 727 removal. and I have noticed that with FSJs
there are no easy or small job. every little thing you do, you need to
take about 5 other things apart to get it done.
VWs are my forte. a few bolts, lift the car, slide out drivetrain.
20 minutes. done.
can any of you more experienced people run through the procedure
for me? Im mechanically inclined, so no worries there... but would
like to here if there are any things I need to do that I don't yet realize.
do I need to take the tunnel cover off? or can it be done from below
only? I have a one piece rubber mat, so i'd have to gut the interior
to get to the cover.
thanks in advance.
