    72 Wagoneer > Isuzu 4BD1T > GM 4L80E > Dana 300 > '77 Dana 44

I've been looking for a good 63-72 Wagoneer for 5 years now. Finally found one a couple weeks ago. I bought two Isuzu motors 2 years ago, and now the fun finally begins.

Pulled the 350tbi motor that the PO was going to put in.

And started working on getting one of the motors up and running.

        Shoot. Dang pictures

Google makes it so hard to host pics.

Not a good way to start a build thread. Here's some pics to tell the story.
Most of my build so far has been diesel drive train related. I'm going to need some Jeep assistance greatly when it comes time to put the body/interior back together. I didn't take it apart, I have a couple buckets full of bolts and several shelves of parts, many of them I don't know where they came from or how they go back together.

        Do these pictures show up?

PO was in the process of putting in an '88 350 > 700r4 > D300.

I took the D300 and nothing else. Selling it all off CL and Ebay.
          This is the plan now:
          Isuzu diesel, 4l80e, d300.
          Isuzu to 4L80e: dieseladapters.com
          Tranny to D300: Advance Adapters

I made a front motor mount/cradle, now I'm working on the tranny mount. I'm not even 80% positive on the exact height or fore/aft position of everything, so these mounts can slide on the frame. I just tacked the height in my best guess so far. I'll finish the mounts once I know where it's going to land.

I wish I could edit the original post. I would replace or edit out the picture placeholders.

Here's my challenge of the day:

The transmission support I have is 6 inches forward of my adapter mounting spot. Do you think it's wise to build a platform off the existing cross-member to meet up with the tranny mount?

                Something like this:

I could build a whole new transmission support, but it would most likely have to mount to the frame in the same spot. It's boxed in, reinforced, and any further back on the frame it goes to C channel and gets wider.

I've just never done this stuff before, so I'm shooting in the dark.

I'm using google photos, and I think that only people that have a google account and are signed in can see my photos. Not sure, but

Not quite sure if I should keep going without photos. That's 3/4 the fun.

I hope you figure out the picture thing including sizing them properly. They are way too large for this forum.
