Power windows

Front windows work ok. However, the back 2 power windows do not work. One has broken flextrac, which I bought and will do later. There is power to the switch, power out of the switch. I'm not sure if motor is good. Do I pull the motor out and test it? If bad, where can I find 2 of them? Or could it be a bad ground? The floorboards are rusted to hell. Help.

pull the pulgs that go into the door and clean them. then check the switches. mine never worked then i just cleaned the contacts and it works great

Well, I pulled the connections apart, cleaned and die-electric greased them to no avail. I cut the ground (tan) wire and spliced in a wire that I screwed to the floorboard and it works. Now have to install flextrac on one and work on why the other is hanging up. It starts to go down , then gets hung on something. Maybe dirt, rotten rubber trim, etc. I sprayed it with PB blaster, so maybe it will be better tomorrow. Next I have to figure out the tailgate switch in dash. Power to it, but no power to back wires. Any help?

When you say "no power to back wires", where are you checking this? At the back, or at the output of the front switch itself?

Be aware that there are two wires going back. On mine they're brown & tan. The switch works by reversing polarity between these two wires. You have to measure between each wire and chassis ground. In one switch position one wire will be 12V and the other not, and vice versa for the other wire.

Also, what year are you?
