Replacement seat belts

Since we're putting new interior stuff in I might as well replace the seat belts. The drivers 3pt works, as does the passengers but the rear belts are broken. Are there good aftermarket ones that aren't going to cost me a foot? I priced a new complete set at tgw but I'm not ready to have the husband look at me funny again when I tell him the cost.

Yes, Im interested in this also. Would a new set of TJ/MJ front belts work in our FSJs? You can get those cheap online or find them in a salvage yard.

I bought 3 point seatbelts off ebay for around $60. They are an upgrade over the old style and the mounting points for them should already be on your rig behind the headliner There are plenty of writeups on this forum on swapping them in.

You might want to check out these shops for replacement belts, not exactly cheap, but seem to have good feedback on their gear
http://https://www.seatbeltplanet.co...-wagoneer.html
or
http://https://www.retrobelt.com/col...shoulder-belts
or
https://www.seatbeltsplus.com/catego...eat-Belts.html

Hope these help, good luck!

in my opinion
whatever you do
do not get them at the retailer you mentioned

( last resort on any part.)

the companies CHUBBINIUS mentioned
are the way to go.

original belts are most likely dry rotted
even though they may look good.

a lot of the aftermarket companies
will re-web yours if you send them in.

and they also sell all new units with new retractors
that will fit, but may not look like OEM as far as retractor housings, etc.

I did the 3 point belts for back seat too,
it was easy, like another member said, bolt hole in roof behind headliner.

Thanks, ya'll. I ordered one rear lap belt as a test for the color and fit from seatbeltsplus. Since the non retractable lap was the least expensive I figured it was a good test. It should arrive before the mechanic has her so all I'll be able to tell is if the color complements all the other interior parts I've ordered. Hopefully before winter she'll be pretty on the inside.
