    AMC/Rambler 327 4 barrel intake and carb

Okay this is a stretch, but as hard as these things are to located, here is one.

AMC Rambler 1966 Ambassador DPL 327 4BBL; eBay Item number: 300139717483

Okay..9 bones is way to much for a carb and intake...but...my thinking was maybe a person could keep the engine for a spare
(like the starter would be good to hang onto) and part the rest out and recoup your costs.

Besides, if it does not sell, maybe you write the owner and make a counter offer?
I sometimes look at things, not at the cost, but do I have opportunity to purchase and will there ever been another opportunity?
It seems to me that these 327 motors with their 4bbl intakes and good working starters are becoming increasingly scarce.

    sweet!

I wouldnt part that out for a 4bb carb, that needs to be rodded!! Wish I had that instead of my 59 Rambler.

though..the consoled topshift TH400 in it would be sweet in my jtruck..

Nice. The DPL package was the upscale 990. The grill and headlight assemblies look nice and may fetch some coin to a restorer. If the tail light s are in good shape, they also have potential along with the bumpers. They had a funky Borg Warner automatic in them Ramblers back then. If it had a T400, the pot would be sweeter. If it had the T10 like some Marlins and Ambassadors did, it would be a no brainer to snatch the car up! The Ambassador give away if all the trim is there would be a chrome rectangular badge under the 990 fender emblems and have a red H for Hurst shifter package on the 4 speed. IMHO, anyone interested in following this one should get some higher res pictures to check out the trim and interior areas for potential restore or parting decision.

sure y'all seen the intake stuff on Flint's 327 info page. Aftermarket intakes *could* be made to fit with machined wedges. It'd be..in interesting project for someone with a milling machine in their garage.

            OUCH!
That might hurt a bit! <just kidding with ya>

Pardon me of my ignorance of these classic Rambler muscle machines.
I was thinking of my fellow Jeep enthusiasts than pine for a 4BBL intake for thier 327 V8.

It is probably the best way to score one, from old Ambos, Marlins, etc.

I forgot to mention the 65 & 66 Classic 770 coupe and convertibles also had option for 327 4bbl and 4 speed with H emblem on them.

minus the little rot on the passenger side rear fender, it seems to be in pretty good shape for a northern vehicle. then again who know what the inside looks like.
