    J-10 258 Engine Bay rubber

Does anyone know where to get the rubber strips that keep mud and debris out of the engine bay? I

A few of us have made them. I bought some reinforced rubber gasket material and cut my own.I don,t think anyone is making them. Good luck.

Wow that looks great! Nice work. Is that attachment method based on how the original rubber was attached? If so I need to look for those attachment holes.

I don’t have any of the original material to make patterns, does anyone have pictures of a 258 engine bay or have pictures of the patterns.

It’s funny these parts don’t show up in the parts books. At least I haven’t seen them.

Sorry, I do not have a pattern. And I tossed out the old ones. Kaiserjeeps may have a pattern, might private message him. Yes used the same hole location, just drilled them a little bigger for the wire I had.

Here is the jig I made to make my stainless staples. Most of my ideas were stolen from other members on this site (mostly Kaiserjeeps build thread), anyway good luck with your build.

Very nice looking work Full Size Jeeper.

So, are these just between the inner fender and the outer fender? Cause that's how it looks... On my 90', they appear to be glued in, not stapled(?) in.

Is anything on these jeeps supposed to go in between the inner fender and the frame rail? I got at least a 2" gap between the 2 and can see the engine when looking in the wheel well. No other vehicle I have is set up like that, they have more material keeping the engine bay and the wheel well separate.
Same deal with the rear's as well, gap between frame and body just wide open for road gunk to end up.

On my 78 wagoneer, it had one piece of rubber on the drivers side, nothing on passenger side.
