One drawback to getting new brake cones has to do with the differential case sprocket. This sprocket can not be found new. Once a set of brake cones have been ground into the sprocket, chances are the sprocket is ruined. This is very common. I went through 16 differentials this summer to find 2 good case sprockets to put the new brake cones in.

So what you're saying is Novak needs to get on making case sprokets as well?

I have had some words with Novak about this. I was told they would look into it back in May. I can't reference the email because all my old mail went away with the previous hosting company.
