I am going to open up my rear leaf spring pack (stock) here in a couple weeks to add a helper spring. I expect to have to cut the stock clamp(s) off. I see some at Napa, Amazon, and Fleabay but some of them just look like 2 long grade 5 bolts through 2 mild steel straps. I expect to need about 6 of them (3 per spring pack). Do you guys just buy some on Amazon? Anything in particular that I should look for other than a 2.5" width?
What do you guys use for Leaf spring clamps?

Glad you asked. I'm going to need to deal with this too sooner or later.
I miss the days when most decent-sized towns had a spring shop with two old guys who'd been there since they got back from Korea.'85 J20 Old Man Truck, bought @ 65K miles - not great, but better than walking.

Did you know? Willys is just Willis spelled differently, but pronounced the same. Neither Willy nor his apostrophe are involved.

facts. I asked a buddy that just rearched his own 'Burb front springs and he said he was able to open the stock clamps, bend his springs, re-assemble, and re-use the stock clamps. I have not looked at my springs/clamps yet to see if that will work for me, but unless someone has another idea, I am going to attempt the same. If the clamp fails (I break it), I will figure out what to do after that.Chuck McTruck 71 J4000

I bought some clamps from an off road shop many moons ago. I think they were made by Rancho. Are they still around?Sic friatur crustulum

I have several J20 spring sets that have stainless steel straps very much like standard hose clamps. The important difference between the two is that the spring straps did not tighten with a worm. I believe these straps were also used on the HD suspension option for the Cherokee.FSJ Hybrid build thread: http://www.shopfloortalk.com/forums/...ad.php?t=43332

I got mine from a local spring shop that's been run by the same guys since they got back from the Korean War; they were only a few bucks each back in the day, but they look like the ones in this link:
