    1966 Wagoneer in SW FL

Hey guys...we found this mostly original 1966 SJ on ebay but it didn't sell so I reached out to the owner and struck a deal...took delivery from CA last month.

Plan is to keep it original looking on the outside and inside. This is the part that has me most nervous...my previous builds have been custom or newer models. I'll be reaching out for help, want to do it justice by doing it right...the right parts, the right way, etc.

Having said that...I will be gutting the driveline and suspension, replacing it with modern components, preferrably Mopar but we'll see. Jeep's concept "Roadtrip" is our inspiration for this build.

Previous Jeeps include a '98 XJ on 37's and a '14 WK2 Ecodiesel on 35's with air springs. If interested, you can see them on IG @robthebuilderer.

Welcome! Is that a 232 I6? One thing I can say about Florida, humidity. Give it plenty of rust proofing care underneath. Good Luck on the build!

      Welcome!

If it's a 232 then a Modern 4.0 HO and AW4 would be right at home in there.

Very nice... Looks like a custom "1414C" ?
Can't see the seats, if the interior is still original i would'nt change the drivetrain to keep it original

I see you have the chassis up for sale. What did you decide to use for a chassis on this?
