    1979 Paint projects

So during the last several months, I've painted a few things on my 1979 Wag.

My dash and instrument panel looked terrible. So I disassembled it the best I could and prepped, primed and painted all of its parts. I think it looks much better.

I posted these pics using postimages. Thanks SOLSAKS for posting the tutorial!

    Tool tray

I painted the area under the hood which I refer to as my tool tray.

      Wood paneling

The wood paneling on my 79 was long gone. All that was left of it was the adhesive backing. I removed all of it with a 3M wheel and did some painting to make the wag look a little more presentable.

I posted these pics using postimages. Thanks SOLSAKS for posting the tutorial!

        Windshield Wiper intermittent delay module

In the 13 years I've owned this bucket of **** my windshield wiper system has never worked correctly, and I suspect it is the Windshield Wiper intermittent delay module pictured below.

This is the same module that was used in 1967-79 Ford Trucks and 1969-79 Ford Broncos.

I can find them online but $99 is steep for old technology.

I have replaced the wiper switch 3 times.
I have replaced the wiper motor once.

        Hi speed Works
        Park Works

        The problem
Low speed The wipers wipe maybe once per 60 seconds (approx.)
Delay speed (Full CCW variable position) Same as Lo speed, approx once per 60 seconds.

Wow, nice, and great use of all the fishwrap!
I've heard great things about the KO2s.
At some point I need to clean and/or paint the 'tool tray' area on mine too. Funny how it's one of the nastiest areas on the entire vehicle.
