dual pulley swap on alternator

I picked up a new alternator at the local Autozone...the dual pulley version (which is what i have) is "unavailable". I bought the single pulley version with the intent of removing my dual pulley off of the old one and installing on the new one.

I think I have done this before on one of my rigs but can't quite remember. I assume I could get it off with the air wrench and reinstall the same way. Locktite it? Any advice in general on this?

Thanks!

Pretty much an R&R.

I would use either locktite or a locking nut.

I doubt you would have enough threads for a lockwasher. The shaft
is barely long enough as it is.
