Anyone have trouble fitting the side marker lights like this?

These are from BJs. Both sides look like this. Should there be a gasket between the housing and the fender? I assume I am supposed to shape these to fit flush against the fender?

Nah, I'll probably just order the correct ones for the front. I need new rear lenses anyway. Even those these are not correct for a Cherokee, I'll usem anyway.

Try them in every location on the body. Are they flush anywhere?

The rear one's don't have as much taper(?) as the front(at the 1 end). Oh, front and rear do have different color lenses, and im not sure, but I would figure the lenses wouldn't swap back and forth... but to be honest Ive never tried to switch the lenses around.

You know, the previous owner of my jeep would take that off, fill it with silicone then screw it back on. Wipe off the excess that oozes out and call it a day.

              Cherokee

I used rear Cherokee housings on all 4 corners . For I thing those are not rear Cherokee housings . Do some research look at old pictures and you will see .I have some extras not in the best shape but better than nothing I do not think anybody reproduces Cherokee rear housings but could be wrong

They look like later rear housings and should work fine on a cherokee.
Since they share the same body/light style back there.
Fronts fit the contour of fender lines.
I dunno if anyone reproduces the early style ones?

Yesterday I ordered the later model front bezels and red lenses. These bezels will move to the back where they belong and the new red lenses will go on them. The new bezels will go on the front and these amber lenses will go on them. It looks like in 79, Cherokees had these long bezels in the front and the older shorter bezels in the rear. I don't really care about being "correct" on my rig so these are new/shiney/matching/will work for me.

It looks like Wagoneer got the long rear bezels (like these) in 84. If anyone wants to order the cheaper chrome Cherokee bezels from BJS I will trade straight across. Here's what I would want:

Here is what you would get:

Otherwise these will live on my rig for a long time.
