    Wheel spacers?

Anybody running these wheel spacers or similar? I would like to not have my front tires rub on my leaf springs when turning sharp. I have adjusted the stops but it kills my turning radius. I have a 4" spring lift and 31x10.5s. I want to keep stock wheels. I have heard a few horror stories from wheel spacers but as I understand it, wheel spacers generally only fail when they are torqued improperly or not re-torqued after driving a set milage. Seems like putting them on the rear might push the tires out far enough to hit the fenders when the suspension is stuffed?

To Each His OWn. I would never have them on mine.

There seem to be more good stories then bad.

If you can't make it better why waste your time. No use repeating the orignal mistakes. I'm to old to push it that's why.

I run a similar product on mine on all 4 wheels, improved the stance and look, torque the correctly and they are fine, a non issue for reliability

Spacers are always a bad idea. they dramatically increase the leverage on components . it's bubble gum and baling wire, there is a reason the factory never does it.

Get the right wheels with the right offset.

No difference running a 1.5" spacer or a wheel that pushes the tire/wheel out another 1.5". Same load, same leverage. Factory doesn't do it because they have tires and wheels made to their specs. There's nothing wrong with running good quality spacers. Been doing it for years.

            no spacers

i would go with less backspacing on my wheels instead of spacers

There is a reason the factory didn't have wheels with 1 1/2" more backspacing. it's a bad idea, but if you must it's always best to use the right wheels.

Very seldom do modifications come without a negative side effect. sometimes it just takes a while before you find out you really aren't smarter than the engineers who built the original product. been there done that enough times I get it now.

                ..

The spacers will change the scrub angle of the front tires... in a slightly bad way... But shouldn't be to bad unless you play ditch'em a lot.

I used spacers a lot on several of my vehicles with zero problems.

                Good luck.. Don S..
