New Member with Ideas and Questions.
Hello all, I'd like to start out by introducing myself, my names Daniel I just graduated from high school and so far have decided this summer would be a great time to mod my Jeep. I've been reading through the fuel injection forum a lot and have decided that's the route I want to take with the Wagoneer. I've done a lot research looking through all of the threads here and I have decided that I'm gonna go with AFI I really like the fact that timing control is included in their system and that its ready to go from the start. I emailed them and they responded to me within a day about details and time of delivery for their system so I'm taking that as a good sign from them. I know from reading here not everybody has dealt with them and for the most part it seems guys are running the Howell system. I do have some concerns for what I'm getting myself I'm not really sure how long it's going to take me to do this, and this car is my daily driver, I'm fairly mechanically inclined but I'm sure I'll need lots of help. I'll be ordering the kit this week and hopefully I'll be able start next week and finish by that weekend. But anyway this seems to be a great forum and I'm glad I found a group who has a true appreciation for FSJ's like I do.
Thanks, Dan

Welcome to the insanity.
I also provide custom systems for the FSJ's, IH's and now Studebakers.
I try to take care of the not so common vehicles.
The complete system is $1399.
You can see them at www.hamiltonfuelinjection.com or in the Machine shop forum on Binderplanet.
I take care of the DIY guy or the one who just wants to bolt it on and drive.
If you have questions you can PM me or email me at Bill@hamiltonfuelinjection.com

Sounds like a great way to spend a summer man, good luck and do keep us posted on what you got going on!! Oh yeah, and lots of pics. Myself I am working through a diesel conversion (very slowly), but I am sure that I can answer some basic questions as well. One thing about working with Fuel Injection and having an adjustable Fuel Map, make sure you take the time to make sure that you have a computer that will support the software and work fast enough to keep up. The last thing you are going to want to deal with is system lag while you are trying to get you mixtures right. I found out the hard way on a previous project. Good Luck!!

AFI systems are turnkey. That is what's nice about them.
Just be careful, because if you're hanging out here, you'll soon start wondering things like "I wonder if I can bump the timing (or fuel) up at this point and get some more power?".
And pretty soon after that, you're ordering stuff from www.moates.net and stealing the old laptop from the kids and it's all downhill from there.
Welcome!!!

Well slowly getting started I bought a timing light today hopefully I'll only have to use that once and I also ordered some Edelbrock valve covers to spice things up in the engine bay. I should be ordering the kit wednesday. Btw is there anyway I can test my alternator it seems to be finicky and I hear EFI is sensitive to that?

Definitely listen to what FSJ Guy and Bill say and what they have posted in the past.
I'm still tuning mine and so far, I'm liking it.
Any of those store bought systems are to pricy for me. I did the complete junk yard route, with the moates burner, two new fuel pumps, etc for about half what a complete system costs.
It sure would be nice to get one of Bill's systems though...

Make sure you have a crossover pipe! Otherwise you will need 2 O2 sensors to get it right.

False....try again.
OEM Chevy TBI only uses 1 O2 sensor.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune but don't let it get you down. These rigs are known for their "one step forward - two steps back" way of treating us. Good luck and Welcome aboard.
