Desoto mine run - Part Deux

Pics from last Saturday when I went down the Desoto mine trail. I love my current setup on Nodoka because she can go anywhere, she now has Lincoln locked front AND rear axles. I can say goodbye to snapping axle shafts in the front, but hello to new tires every so often.

None the less, here are some pics!

Lucky dude, he ran the whole trail like this:

I tried my best to show the angle

      Stuck in 2WD

Made it out without any major damage, that's the way I like it!

Now if I can find any good IFSJA stickers...

        Whoa

Living on the coastal plains of South Carolina we never get snow much less terrain like that. Sort of scary looking to us flat landers!

Actually a locked diff will snap axle shafts easier because 100% of the torque can go to either axle shaft, unlike before when the torque was split 50/50 between the shafts and a tire slipping would release it.

It takes some spheres to drive a welded front diff on the street for a daily driver.

I love how arguements end as soon as Ristow comments. Ristow is right...again.
