    Fc 170 build...

Hello everyone, being how im new to the forum i figured the best way to start this would be to introduce my self. My name is cole i live in northern Michigan and im just recently getting into the jeep world (was a ford truck guy) with the purchase of my first jeep a 1965 fc170. Just a little history on the jeep before it i bought it it was my cousin who had picked it up after seeing it at a orchard just siting there for god knows how many years. Upon talking to the owner he found out that at some point in the late 70's early 80's that the owner had done some work to it including installing a goose neck, and most importantly converting it to a AMC 327. So my cuisin purchased the jeep, got it to his place to build it into a wheeler and one thing led to another and it sat in his swamp for another 12 years or so until i decided that i needed to buy it... here are some pics of the beast as i found it.

There's been a bit of work done to it sense, its in my garage as a frame right now and il put picks of that whole deal up latter. But if anyone has any ideas for power steering let me know.

      Is that a 170? Looks like a 150?

      Nice pickup either way

thanks for all the welcome, its should be a good build wish you all could have seen us rip it out of there... think it was sitting on the axles for 11years in a place that floods about once a year lol, and loading it on the trailer was a joke to. So far its come along good pulled the motor out the other day and found it had a broken crank, however i managed to somehow locate a identical drive train (AMC 32, nailhead th400, and dana20 tansfercase) that i should have in by the end of the week. then its time to start fabricating the suspension...
