    different kind of Vigilante

The Marlin Guy never ceases to amaze me. I had not been on his site for several months. He has posted some newer Marine 327 pictures.

Imagine THAT in the back of your vintage Wag with a prop and rudder hanging out from under the bumper.

I always wanted to make an AMC powered boat but didn't think any of AMCs engines could be adapted to a marine application. That is TOO cool!!! I want one...bad...

They had 360/401 powered jet boats. I've seen a couple. Soooo much want!

I would think any engine could be run as an inboard - fresh water, just need to make sure it can pick up water for coolant.

use to work with a guy that runs a salvage yard, he pickup up a boat with a froze (as in did not drain/block of ice) inboard, he pulled a 4.3 out of an S10 complete with TBI and dropped in it.

Hey - that 327 is backwards! The oil fill tube is where the distributor ought to be, and the distributor is where the oil fill tube ought to be!

That's a pretty cool looking engine.

I wish my 327 looked half as good as that.

If it was in one of my FSJs it would be exactly where it should be.

Say 65 Wagoneer (with 327) pulling the Cris-craft Boat with a 327 inboard.
(That would be the ticket, and likely $100K+ to put together as a restored set)
I think the old Rambler engines from the 50's-> 60's were pretty common as marine engnines

Universal Atomic was one company that marinized AMC/Rambler engines and called them "Fireball" engines. They still marinize engines, but as far as I know it's pretty much just Kubotas for sailboats.
