Surprisingly the hardest part of removing the rear brake assemblies was the easiest. The flat head screws came right out and with a couple of hits with a babbitt hammer the drums came right off. The inside were rusted so bad I'm surprised they worked at all. It was definitely a disaster waiting to happen.
It was removing the seals out of the rear hubs that I destroyed a bearing. Nothing in stock anywhere so they are now on order, due in Wed. I wanted disc brakes on this this weekend. Guess I'll have a almost completely rebuilt rear end when done.
Guess I'll rebuild the carb while I'm waiting. Maybe the new gas lines or the bed or the tail lights, maybe the dipstick replacement...............

I finally got my new Dana 20 installed today. The hardest part was getting that Mickey Mouse stock Jeep shifter to work. What a piece of junk. I'll be glad when my modified twin sticks get here from JB customs. Then I can install my "Dana 19". Now I can start on creature comforts...like sound proofing.

Anyone live near a store that sells Yuengling Beer? It's been a couple years since I drank a ying-yang.

I'm sure I can bring you some. How much you want. Wanna go on a bender for the weekend...
In a few months we will have it coming out our ears at work. We just sold them a packaging machine.

Those that live in Missouri that have tried Yuengling usually like it. At least most of my friends do. Anyway, building up my stash of Yuengling would be a good thing. Hopefully no benders this weekend though.

The weather looks perfect for next weekend. Let's hope it stays that way.
My J20 is not going to make it. I don't want its maiden drive to be a road trip that far from home. I do hope to have it running by next weekend though. My wheel bearings came in Thursday. Got the axle seals today.
Hopefully I'll be ready for a fall/winter meet.

                              this weekend

Rich (Woodchomper) is letting me tag along for ride. My ride needs some work before another road trip, so Rich and I spent some time getting his rig in tip-top shape. See you guys there Friday...Del

So since Shades is non-electric do you think there will be a problem if I bring a generator? Also I saw sites #68 and #69 were booked. Does anyone know if those sites are FSJ people?

                                Thanks...Rich B.
