Started early this morning and was able to do a little welding on the fender and work some body filler. Also sanded the cowl vent panel too.

I'll hit it with a guide coat and see if it needs any more primer.

all the work looks really good
the different color on the hood support bars looks good too.

I used dynamats hood "dynaliner"
on the underside to protect the paint form engine heat
comes with adhesive already on it
takes 2 rolls to do a completed job

but I think it is the best out there.

Painted the hood today and used the wrong reducer and it is not going to make it. Also shot one fender today and it came out really good.

The hood looked okay for about 20 minutes and then this happened. One positive, the hood is straight. So re sand and shoot it AGAIN!!!!!

Body work on fender was spot on and the paint came out nice. I did this after I screwed up the hood.

Hardly any orange peel!

I'am not going to let it beat me, even though I took a butt whooping today on that hood!

What causes that? Is it orange peel from solvent, or just not a thick enough coat of clear?

I used the wrong reducer, so I think that had something to do with it. That is the only thing I did different between the hood and fender.
