Great sadness we have lost Frank Ziebert

I am not able to access the member remembrance forum. I am very sad to report that Frank Ziebert has passed away from brain cancer. I was not aware that he was ill. Frank and Faye made the trip up to see us a couple years ago. They were lots of fun and they were supposed to come back. Many of you may remember Franks build thread where he was trying to save his fathers J truck. He was fun, liked to laugh and loved jeeps. He and Faye spent the last few years motoring around the USA with their Jeep in tow behind a big RV. Doing jeep runs all over. I want to thank Marc, (rang-a-stang) for the PM and the link to read about Frank. This is a very sad day.

God bless you Frank. Thank you Frank.

Left this world to wander the stars on October 8. Born in Albany, Oregon, October 18, 1948, grew up in Salem before joining the Army and travelling the world to find his wife Faye on a ski trip to Austria. I corresponded with frank over the last few years

and had recently asked about him
since I had seen no activity on his project.

        his truck was Burgundy
and he did great work on it

        he was a nice person.

I brought a friend of my dads and mine
back to my computer one day

to show him a photo of frank working on his rig....

because frank looked just like our buddy Rayvon

        white hair and all......

Loss is awful, and I am saddened by the loss of frank.

**keeping his family in my thoughts today.

Sad to see this, Franks build was one of the very first I read all the way through.

How sad for Frank and his family. May his soul rest in peace and his family find some small comfort in the end of his suffering from disease.

What sad news for any and all who knew him. His thread on the J-truck restoration was one of my first subscribed threads on here, always loved to see his work and the smile on his face while he did it. God bless you, Frank.

Al, if you speak to Faye, please tell her we will pray for her comfort and peace as well in her loss.

He's gonna be missed, for sure. His posts were witty and good natured. I also appreciate that he served our country for so long. I hope his wife and kids are doing OK.

Just to show his impact, if you go to his build thread:

A few of us were hitting him up for some updates.

I thought about calling. I don't want to make her relive the loss. I honestly don't think I could speak without loosing it. I am still struggling with it. We got several pieces of bad news yesterday. When it rains it pours.
I always appreciated his pictures because he was in them. The look on his face sometimes was great. Like.... I'm gonna sand this panel and mean it!
                Yes, God speed Frank.

Thanks Marc, for posting the link to his build.
