Oil Leaks ? NOPE

Working on little clean up items... Jeep is driving strong and loving the roughly 18 mpg so far [ estimated ]

BUT -

The strangest thing after almost 800 miles?

Not ONE oil leak, no drips anywhere. That is soo strange.
My garage floor is dying of thirst now with no constant oil supply.

After all the work/frustrations, this is by far the most satisfying upgrade I have done to date on this Jeep.

Then it's no longer a full size Jeep.

Update . . .

Jeep has been parked in the garage for roughly 2 months now. Have been monitoring the battery since I seemed to have a small drain.
Found the radio amp, which was hooked directly to the battery, was pulling a small amount of current. Disconnected that.. and now batt holds voltage.

During this "test", I did not start the engine...
Then -, it was decent out so I started it up. Fired right up! Put it in gear and drove around the block a few times...
No issues, just start, put it in gear and go.
Gotta say, I love the reliability!

So have well over 1000 miles on the Chief now. Had a few check engine lights on start up last year.
Talked with Mitch at Swap time and explained the codes [ He did the wire harness mod and ECU ]. Nothing serious btw.
He says send me the ECU and I'll take care of those, no charge.
Cool!

My body work is on hold as my step mom is ill right now, and I just don't have the time/motivation to go out in the cold to work on the Jeep.
Maybe I need to run that gas line and install the furnace I bought ?? Hmmm

So, doing research for front bucket seats that have a recliner, lumbar, head rests.. and maybe heat.
What have all you guys done for a modern updated seats?
Of course, the issue is the pass side with the WIDE tunnel that inhibits seat mounting.

Also researching various dash gages to update as I move to interior work.

That is all .. for now. Stay warm !

Be sure to look at Speedhut for unlimited customization on gauges. Not FSJ specific, but whatever look you want.

I am looking at these ... adapted to my cluster.. I have one of the alum overlays, but may just mount then like I did on my other build with Mopar gauges.

ECU Uodate

Got the ECU back from SwapTime...

Mitch went through and eliminated a few items that were causing my Check Engine codes... free of charge btw.

So, it is kinda cold here.. 12 F. BUT - had to venture into my unheated garage, and plug the ECU back in, then crank it up. Cranked like it was 12 F outside, fired right up. Put it in gear almost immediately, yup, no stalling and moves .. Good!

I let the Jeep warm up, and no Check Engine codes. Good!

So, I have family stuff going on and have no motivation to be in the garage right now.. But this is one small item off "The List".

At this point, I am calling the powertrain install "complete" . The remaining work is body/paint/interior related - this will be continued in my other thread in General Discussion.
