Actually the rear axle of a WT Cherokee is several inches narrower than a J10's. On a J10, the rear axle is wider than the front. On a Cherokee, the rear axle is narrower than the front.

I voted NT waggy. I have the WT Cherokee now and it's good too. The NT fit in tighter spaces, that can matter if you are trying to position between boulders here in AZ.
Hard to argue against 4 doors. I do miss that part of the waggy for sure.

I'm partial to the NT rigs myself but the WT's do have their advantages. With a WT 31x10.5R15's won't rub on the springs like they will on a NT, at least with the stock spoked wagon wheels. You can also stuff a larger tire into the rear wheel wells at full flex and not have them get torn to shreds. I've been able to do it with a NT but fender trimming was required.
The one thing I've always been afraid of with my WT's and J trucks is smashing up the fender flares. Funny thing is the more careful I am the more things get broke, if I wheel the snot out of it and aim for trees I don't even scratch the paint

Late 70's NT Wagoneer is my favorite cause you can haul people along to go wheeling and it isin't a pain for them to get out. Also a NT is better for up here in Minnesota for dodging trees and on trails made for small jeeps. There is also good weight distubution which helps keep tires on the ground when hill climbing and flexing at wierd angles.

+1 on Scott's WT GW because (a) it's amazingly cool and good-looking and (b) I have a WT GW myself
Also, I am going to vote for the most obvious choice that doesn't appear in the poll: M715.

I have put my w/t right along the trail with CJ's and amazed them with what it will do for the size and lack of major mods.

Coming from xj cherokees I thought my J10 on tons would be a handful on the tight trails. With the wheelbase shortened to 113 and back of the bed chopped off she has proven to be quite manuverable.

My lifted J10 does fairly well however the rear overhang is a killer.
If you are going to do anything outside of trails the bed/bumper is going to gain some trial rash.
It also will get you hung on things that others craw right over.
I am building a WT Cherokee and look forward to less issues on the rocks in the near future.

Got me itching to bob the GW now.. Voted Wagoneer, the 4 doors are awesome, even more so with the back seat pulled out!

Half Chevy, half Dodge, and half Jeep. I wouldn't bet on it being the heaviest but it is about 1 1/2 times what it used to be.

If you go fast enough, you just bounce the rear overhang of a J20 right off of whatever obstacle it is you're climbing off of and continue on your way (sheet metal and parts dangling). I know this from experience.
