    79 golden eagle P.U.

    i got my 79 jtruck to its resting place!
    to bad i named it F.U.B.A.R.
    interior is shot,it has a half installed painless wireing harness...bed has some rust spots in the usual places...
    it was a golden eagle truck...one of the PO's did a spring over on it...
    has some huge shackles in the rear and aal's i think for lift!
    i will get pics soon,SO DONT RUSH ME

    now on to the good stuff i originally thought it had a t400/qt...well turns out i was wrong it has a t18 and d20 behind the 360...

    now what to do with the thing

            I was thinking of the heavy bits between the engine and rear drive shaft.

            Not really, the wife would kill me if I started something new before her engine...

              well upon further inspection the wireing harness is toast! sun dry'd the engine compartment wire to a crisp...PO didnt put a hood back on it while working on it

                Its AMAZING what the sun in New Mexico will do to stuff.. When I was in Albuquerque there were cars that were only a few years old with TOTALLY WASTED paint..

                    I'd like to see it too. a black 79 GE was what got me into FSJ in the first place. It's not a CA truck is it?

                      AFAIK this truck has been in new mexicofor the last 15 yrs...
                      got paid finally so maybe i can get some batteries fer the camera and take some pics now
